Plocher Bringing Pelosi-Style Rules to Missouri House

What is happening in DC with the ”RULES” will be happening in Missouri on Monday in the House of Representatives. The House leadership wants to change the “RULES” (again) to give themselves more power. This means your elected Representative will be neutered (again). They will be in Jefferson City for show only.

Pay attention. There is a better way. We do need new rules, but not what the super PAC called the HRCC (House Republican Campaign Committee) wants. We need POWER TO THE PEOPLE! Pay attention to the Missouri House of Representatives. It is about to get good.

The stand they are taking in DC needs to happen in MO.

Speaker of the House, Dean Plocher is pulling a Pelosi and pandering for more power by introducing House Rules changes via HR11 2023 that give him unilateral authority to control nearly every aspect of the legislative process.

I am reaching out to you regarding HR11. There are many rules changes in this resolution with which I am deeply concerned. This resolution grants an immense amount of additional power to the Speaker and appears to remove many checks and balances previously in place. I am aware of a group forming to push back in caucus. As my representative, I would like to see you join this group and keep the Speaker in check. Should this make it to floor, the people request a roll call vote.
